1998 jeep cherokee classic has door locking unlocking problem.
Jeep cherokee doors wont lock.
Seems like the relay for the power locks may be part of the junction box fuse panel the one under the drivers side dash.
I have a 1999 jeep cherokee and the power door locks don t work anymore.
Even though you inspected the fuse did you try to replace it anyway just in case.
Any help on how to fix would be very helpful.
The relays are in the passenger side arm rest.
Have checked all fuses and relays that can be indentified.
You can hit the solder joints with a soldering iron and reset the solder joints.
However the power door lock on the passenger side does not work either.
Sometimes they work and sometimes they don t.
If it s not making any sounds trying to unlock lock and it s all doors not working it normally comes down to the fuse or the tipm module itself.
I think that was me that posted a similar problem but different mine won t lock or unlock from fob or door switch but it will with physical key.
Nothing will lock or unlock electronically.
I took it to the dealer the next day and they said the latch actuator assembly is broken and on back order no eta on part or fix.
My lock work intermittently as well but i can hear the relays clicking.
There could be a wire broken in the harness that goes through the door jam or a solder joint on one or more of the door lock relays could be broken.

Tipms can unfortunately be an expensive fix.
I checked the fuse in slot 15 and it appears to be good.
